Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate MRI Technologist to join our growing imaging team.

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and an excellent overall experience. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working directly with patients who may be anxious, claustrophobic, elderly, or have mobility limitations.

Responsibilities:

Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
Properly position patients and operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Follow MRI safety procedures and thoroughly screen patients for contraindications, implants, and metallic objects.
Explain MRI procedures to patients and answer questions in a professional and reassuring manner.
Maintain constant attention to patient safety and comfort throughout examinations.
Review patient history and relevant clinical information prior to examinations.
Verify patient identification and examination orders.
Maintain accurate patient and examination records.
Work closely with radiologists and other members of the clinical team.
Recognize and address image-quality issues and repeat sequences when necessary.
Maintain equipment and imaging areas in accordance with facility and safety standards.
Follow HIPAA, OSHA, ACR, and applicable regulatory and facility requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional MRI environment.
Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Assist with accommodating patients who may be nervous, claustrophobic, elderly, or physically limited.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

ARRT certification in Radiography and/or MRI, as applicable.
MRI certification preferred.
New Jersey state licensure/credentials as required.
Previous MRI technologist experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of MRI safety, protocols, positioning, and imaging techniques.
Ability to work effectively with patients of different ages and physical abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to image quality.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and staff.
Professional, dependable, and compassionate approach to patient care.

Schedule

The center operates Monday through Friday, with hours extending from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, so schedule flexibility is preferred.
